The Smart Grid Ready Heat Pump is designed to actively participate in the modern electricity grid as a flexible, demand‑responsive asset. Equipped with the SG‑Ready interface and supporting open protocols including EEBUS and Modbus, the unit receives signals from grid operators or energy service providers and automatically adjusts its operation accordingly. During grid peak periods, it can reduce or temporarily pause operation; during periods of renewable energy surplus or low demand, it can increase output to store thermal energy. This bidirectional communication enables the heat pump to support grid stability, reduce the risk of congestion, and avoid curtailment of surplus renewable energy – all while maintaining uninterrupted comfort for the user. The result is a heating solution that works with the grid, not against it.
