As one of Singapore’s most influential premium real estate groups, CapitaLand strictly adheres to ESG and green building decarbonization standards. To optimize the building energy system and replace outdated high-energy-consumption heating equipment, the group completed a central hot water system upgrade with three sets of Tongyi TRT60 commercial
air source heat pumps, creating an efficient and low-carbon hot water solution for high-end commercial buildings in Singapore.

Singapore implements stringent energy-saving policies and Green Mark certification requirements for commercial properties. Traditional electric heating and boiler systems feature high power consumption, high operating costs and heavy carbon emissions, failing to meet CapitaLand’s long-term net-zero emission roadmap. Commercial buildings present stable all-day hot water demand with dynamic load changes, requiring highly efficient, stable and intelligently adjustable heating equipment.
The project adopts three Tongyi TRT60 heat pumps operating in modular parallel. Equipped with high-efficiency DC inverter compressors and eco-friendly R32 low-GWP refrigerant, the units maintain outstanding COP and stable heating performance under Singapore’s year-round tropical climate. The multi-unit intelligent linkage system automatically adjusts operating quantity and load distribution according to real-time hot water usage, effectively avoiding energy waste during low-demand periods and fully meeting peak hot water supply requirements.
Supported by intelligent remote monitoring and constant temperature control functions, the system realizes unattended stable operation, greatly reducing manual maintenance and operational costs. Since commissioning, the energy-saving hot water system has delivered consistent and reliable hot water supply all year round, significantly cutting the building’s power consumption and carbon footprint. It effectively helps CapitaLand meet local green building assessment and corporate decarbonization targets.
This CapitaLand project further validates Tongyi TRT60 series’ excellent reliability and energy-saving advantages in high-end commercial scenarios. It consolidates Tongyi’s market position in Singapore’s premium green building sector. Moving forward, Tongyi will continue to provide mature, customized low-carbon heating solutions for high-standard commercial real estate projects across Southeast Asia.
